About Arena of Stars
Arena of Stars is a 45,000 sq ft musical amphitheater at Genting Highlands that opened in January 1998, with Sally Yeh and George Lam headlining the first show. It was originally built open-air, but the highland's severe weather made a roof necessary — today it's a fully covered venue with a sound system that had a US$3 million overhaul in 2011. It's managed by Resorts World Genting's Promotions and Entertainment Department, and beyond concerts, it's hosted the 3rd IIFA Awards, the Zee Cine Awards, and national lion and dragon dance competitions.
